Zachary McLeod
Zachary McLeod is a Ph.D. student specializing in Chemical Education and is a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Chemistry. Zach goes above and beyond to ensure that all students have the necessary resources to thrive academically. During the past semester, Zach passionately advocated for a student grappling with dyslexia – ensuring that exam materials were made accessible and working with the student on proactive measures aimed at facilitating their learning process.
Though still a student himself, Zach has a profound impact as an educator. He has dedicated significant time and effort to cultivating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment in his recitation sessions and labs. His extra efforts in the areas of accessibility in inclusivity are not going unnoticed. Many students have actively transferred into his section. Other students have praised Zach for providing invaluable support. Even Zach’s colleagues have applauded his efforts in assisting disabled co-workers.
